Tim is excited. He just posted an in-depth review of Spock on O'Reilly Radar, and also posted on the $50,000 Spock Challenge launching Monday at Web 2.0 Expo.
Rafe Needleman has a different take on Spock, and offered his own review on Cnet WebWare. Rafe's screenshots are slightly more compelling than Tim's, i think... ;)
UPDATE: Dan Farber also weighs in on Spock...
I like Spock, but I'm seeing it fill up with bozos.
For example, type in "geeks" into the Spock SE, and you get a slew of dubious characters.
Type in "Web 2.0" and you'll get the 5 web guys that I tagged such.
Type in "web developer": get nothing.
Spock needs an About, FAQ, and a Guide to Tagging & Semantic Web Configurations or similar.
Still seeking a truly elite socnet with mostly professionals. Allowing members to import their email address books is a bad idea IMHO.
Should be more selective, elite, eh?
