Hi Dave,
I agree it is a great presentation. It highlights how fragmented the current landscape is. This fragmentation is creating inefficiencies that are reducing the value of the user experience. In the industrial era we would expect to see a consolidation process that addressed this fragmentation and captured a considerable portion of the value created via synergies. In the digital era the equivalent of consolidation is the Open ID program. The beauty of the Open ID program is that a considerable portion of the value unlocked is delivered to the user through a more efficient and enhanced experience. The Open ID framework also provides a fertile environment for innovation by independent third parties.
