damn, that's amazing... ex-FIM/NewsCorp exec Heather Harde is taking the reins over at TechCrunch.  the story was broken first by Om Malik, no stranger to Heather or FIM / News.  other insights from Ben Metcalfe & Edgeio CEO Keith Teare (both of whom chose to use my pix of Heather ;)

mike: kudos to you for trading your CEO hat in exchange for a brighter TC future.  bold move, and impressive hire. 

heather: can't think of a tougher job than being mike's boss, but if anyone can do it You Da [wo]Man... ;)

to the rest of the bloggers & moguls out there... watch out.  here's a team adding even more firepower to an already dominant new media empire.  and perhaps a new-breed VC / incubator to boot?  we'll see...
