the speakers and content may be great, but i gotta say -- when there's no wireless access, i spend a helluva lot of time trying to get a connection. not only does this limit access to emails i might need to respond to from work, it also limits my ability to blog about stuff at the conference itself. (and i'm sorry, i'm just not willing to detach completely while i'm at a tech conference)
mike/chris: i know it's tough with many geeks & publishers here, but if you're running a technical event on blogging & social media, the wireless & internet connectivity really *has* to work... at least at some level of minimal functionality. right now, it doesn't -- and that's quite frustrating.
I'm @ BlogOn 2005 in NYC this week (Sun eve thru Wed afternoon) -- drop me a note or comment here if you'd like to meet up. should be arriving around 10pm or so; will try and catch the tail end of the Blogger Meetup tonight -- for those of you on west coast time, let's party!
We held our first Silicon Valley Microfinance Network meeting on Monday night @ the Omidyar Network. Our guest speaker was Mike Murray, Unitus Chairman. Also thanks to Tracey Pettengill, Premal Shah, Elizabeth Funk, and Maya Chorengel who helped organize, as well as to the Omidyar Network for hosting the event.
